As a writer, SMJ is working on The Command Center Outside Angel Grove, California, an ensemble play about the first female Power Rangers team with director Esther M. Cohen and producer Jordan Donica as well as a pilot version of the script. In addition, SMJ is developing a new mime musical At the Barre with composer Sarah Flaim. Recently, SMJ just started a new play called People Start Talking about small town culture and baking ashes into cookies.

Returning to Ohio for the beginning of 2019, SMJ is engaged in numerous projects including choreographing Carrie the Musical for the 2019 All-Ohio Show for the Ohio Thespians, serving as a dramaturg for Singin’ in the Rain for Otterbein University, directing Matthew Gittins’ new musical You Go On, and movement coaching for Westerville South High School, New Albany High School, St. Francis DeSales High School, Olentangy Liberty High School, and Highland High School.

SMJ is committed to bringing mime to the mainstream.
